Early in his career, Greg Geary spent time in consulting at a firm where he learned to combine the rigor and process discipline of a global consultancy with deep technical execution. That experience shaped a conviction he has carried through every role since: every technology decision should have a direct line to the business, whether that means increasing revenue, reducing costs, improving efficiency, or managing risk.

He brought that consulting mindset into more than 20 years of technology leadership across financial services (including insurance, mortgage banking, investment management, and wealth management), healthcare, media and entertainment, aerospace, and consulting. He spent over a decade at a global investment management firm that grew from $21 billion to $80 billion under management, where he built and executed technology roadmaps, led IT due diligence for multibillion-dollar acquisitions, managed integrations across multiple M&A events, and owned the relationship between technology and the executive team. He has held CIO and VP-level roles at every stop.

Most recently, he led a 120-person technology team through a full cyber recovery and modernization effort, managing a $64 million annual budget and transitioning the organization from crisis to stable operations.

That same philosophy is why Nova Group exists. Too many mid-market companies treat technology as a cost center instead of a strategic function. Greg founded Nova Group to bring senior technology leadership to organizations that need it, with the same question driving every engagement: how does this make the business better?

He holds an MBA in Corporate Finance from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from California State University, Northridge. He maintains active CISM and CRISC certifications from ISACA.
