Advisory Services

A second opinion before you sign, close, or tell the board it's handled.

Some decisions are too big to rest on a vendor's pitch or a team grading its own work: a multi-year contract, an acquisition, a cyber program, a project that's gone sideways. Nova Group gives you an independent read, in plain language, from an advisor who has done technology due diligence on multibillion-dollar transactions and run the kind of function being assessed.

An independent decision brief before a major commitmentIllustrative example. A decision brief asks whether to sign a seven-year ERP deal and compares three options (sign as is, renegotiate, walk away) by cost and risk. Renegotiate is highlighted as the recommendation.Sign the 7-year ERP deal?CostRiskSign as isRenegotiateWalk awayRecommended: renegotiateAn independent answer before you sign.

When this fits

When one decision carries the weight.

01

You're about to sign a multi-year core, ERP or managed-services contract, and no one independent has read the fine print.

02

You're buying a company and nobody on the deal team has looked hard at its technology.

03

Your board wants an independent view of cyber readiness, not IT's self-assessment.

04

A major implementation is late and over budget, and everyone has a different story.

The engagement path

Establish the facts, then the next move.

Diagnose

Establish what is true

Read the contracts, the numbers and the project history, and interview the people involved, so symptoms are separated from causes.

Synthesize

Say what it means

Connect the findings to cost, risk and the decision in front of you, with options you can test.

Mobilize

Set the next move

Deliver a short action plan with owners and dates, and brief your leadership team or board.

Concrete outputs

Practical questions

Questions CEOs ask first.

Who actually does the work?

The senior advisor you meet. Nova Group is founder-led, with no junior team behind the first meeting. Where specialist work is needed, such as penetration testing or legal review, we'll say so up front and help you scope it with a firm you engage directly.

Will the assessment produce a long report?

No. You get a short decision brief first: what's true, what it means, and what we would do. Supporting detail sits behind it for the people who need it.

Can you advise our IT leader directly?

Yes. Some engagements are a senior sounding board for a promising IT leader, scoped the same way as any other: a defined purpose, a defined period and a clear end.

Can advisory work become ongoing support?

Yes, when follow-through benefits from continued senior guidance. Any extension is defined explicitly rather than assumed.

Start with the situation

Is Advisory the right fit?

Start with a short call about what’s in front of you. You’ll leave knowing whether it calls for interim, fractional or one-off help, and what we would do first.
